Undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Skopje are defined as integrated five-year studies in veterinary medicine from the first and second cycle of studies.
The purpose of the undergraduate studies in veterinary medicine is to form the highly qualified qualification of a “Doctor of Veterinary Medicine”, which, in addition to caring for animal health, plays a significant role in public health by providing healthy and quality food from animal and plant origin.
The curriculum is designed in a direction that enables after the completion of the academic studies at FVM-S, the graduated doctor of veterinary medicine to acquire the competencies for: treatment of animals; Solving the problem of veterinary public health; Participation in the protection of the environment; Performing on-site, clinical and laboratory diagnostics; Preventive suppression of infectious diseases and zoonoses; Designing and participating in the development of programs for the development and promotion of the activity of livestock production and the production of products of animal origin and animal products and the development of all forms of protection of life and the environment, fostering ethics and human attitude towards animals.
