Herwig Grimm studied philosophy at the Universities of Salzburg, Zurich and Munich, main emphasis on ethics and applied ethics. In 2004 he earned his Master’s degree in Salzburg with a thesis on “Moral Standing of Animals? – Approaching the subject with discourse ethics”. From 2004 to 2011 he was a scientific assistant at the interdisciplinary Institute for Technology, Theology and Natural sciences in Munich. He took his doctoral degree at the Munich School of Philosophy. From 2011 he has been a professor and the head of the unit “Ethics and Human-Animal-Studies” at the Messerli Research Institute of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, the Medical University of Vienna and the University of Vienna.

Vlatko Ilieski, PhD

Prof. Dr. Vlatko Ilieski graduated from the Veterinary Faculty in Zagreb, Croatia, received his PhD at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine specialist at the European college for Animal welfare, Ethics and Law. As university professor he is lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate studies with big international experiences. He has international teaching experiences as visiting professor at University of Ljubljana, Zagreb teaching animal welfare. Member of the doctoral program “Model Organisms” in Biomedical and Veterinary Research at the University of Naples, Federico II, Italy

Viktor Denkovski, PhD

Graduated at the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Institute of Informatics with specialization Computer Architectures and Networks obtaining the title of a Graduated Engineer in Computer Science – Computer Architectures and Networks. After graduating, he was employed at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Skopje at the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje as System Administrator. He went on postgraduate studies at the University American College in Skopje (UACS) at the Faculty of Computer Technology and Informatics, specialization Computer Networks. With the cooperation with his colleagues veterinarians from the faculty, he finished his master thesis with a computer network simulation entitled “Application and evaluation of routing protocols in wireless sensory networks” applied on the application for monitoring the state of the animals (cattle) on the farm. During his employment at the Veterinary Faculty he also worked part-time as a teaching assistant at UACS. From December 2022, he is a full-time teacher employed at the School of Computer Science and Technology at UACS and in May 2023 finished his PhD Studies in Information Systems and Management at the School of Business Economics and Management at UACS.
