Rural Economy is a science that teaches students the basic laws of economics, but applied in rural areas with all the features of that environment but has a special emphasis on agroeconomy, regional economic development and sustainability.<\/p>\n
Rural economy is a compulsory subject in the group of pre-clinical subjects (subjects for animal production).<\/p>\n
The main task of this course is to familiarize students with basic economic principles and laws, implementing them in a rural environment. Special features are added to rural environment that provides economic principles. Special emphasis is given to the agrarian economy and sustainable economic development as a new paradigm in economics.<\/p>\n
Classes are conducted in III. semester , with a total of 30 hours of which 15 hours are theoretical instruction and 15 hours practical instruction for students.<\/p>\n
Theory: interactive (lectures in huge groups with discussion and engagement of the students).<\/p>\n
Practical instruction: is done in small groups with a case study, discussion and analysis of the situation, and if necessary visit objekt on the field.<\/p>\n
Seminar work: preparation of seminar paper, presentation and discussion of it.<\/p>\n
The course develops the so-called soft skills among veterinary practitioners, elaborating the basic tenets of management as planning, organization and control, but also specific aspects of management of private veterinary practice such as customer relations, treatment of human resources, financial indicators of success.<\/p>\n
Principles of management and veterinary practice is a compulsory subject from the group of clinical subjects (additional professional knowledge).<\/p>\n
The aim of the study of Basic management and management of veterinary practice is to provide the ability for teamwork, the ability for basic calculations of costs, the ability for business planning and organizing, discovering the importance of motivation for employees valuation and compensation at work, also the importance to human health and safety of employees, etc. . Practical work enables students to learn about the practical aspects of the subject as SWOT analysis, COST \/ BENEFIT analysis and other practical examples of management activities.<\/p>\n

Economics of livestock production is a science which introduces students to basic economic principles of livestock production.<\/p>\n
Economics of livestock production is an optional subject in the group of pre-clinical subjects (subjects for animal production).<\/p>\n
The aim of the study of Economics of livestock is an upgrade of knowledge of economics with special emphasis on farm production. Therefore this course will detail the characteristics of processed livestock enterprise, the characteristics of farm preservation and cultivation of various species of animals and cattle, sheep and goats, pigs and poultry. Moreover, the individual characteristics of individual productions will be elaborated both organizational and technical, and economical aspects.<\/p>\n

The course develops knowledge in marketing veterinary practitioners, elaborates the basic tenets of marketing as service, price, promotion and distribution, allowing students greater success at work in private veterinary practice.<\/p>\n

The aim of the study of marketing veterinary practice is to acquaint students with the basics of marketing of veterinary practice. This means that students should acquire basic knowledge about their future involvement in the economy by opening a private veterinary practice. This particular subject complements and is compatible with the subject \u201eFundamentals of management and veterinary practice\u201c which is a compulsory subject. These two items together will enable students to attract as many customers as well as to retain them. The future doctor of veterinary medicine should be given basic knowledge about what its customers expect, how to enhance your practice and that he can effectively raise income. For this purpose he required basic knowledge of customer behavior, the nature and characterictic of service they offer, ways he can and should set the prices of its services to, the channels by which to distribute the message to the client,in one word how to successfully use marketing instruments in the management practice.<\/p>\n

One of the primary tasks of veterinary medicine as a profession is to monitor animal products in these channels starting from production until consumption of the product. It is therefore necessary to know all the rules and economic aspects of these channels.<\/p>\n
Management channels to purchase animal products is the elective subject of group of subjects on food safety.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this subject will be thoroughly familiar with the vet future procurement channels, their importance, significance, economic aspects, organizational rules and regulation. Particularly interesting to this course is that veterinarians can attend it whether they work in the field of veterinary inspection and \/ or veterinary administration.<\/p>\n
